  1. This program was translated from a UNIVAC FORTRAN program which bore a
  2. remarkable resemblance to the original Crowther & Woods Adventure code.
  3. Neither one bore any Copright or Authorship notations, so I am presuming
  4. all this is in the public domain.  I assert no rights to it, since I don't
  5. feel like claiming rights I wouldn't feel like defending in any case.

  7. The game plays a lot like Adventure, except for a slightly smarter command
  8. parser, and a serious attempt to punish you for knowing anything you may
  9. have learned from Adventure.  It can get pretty funny in here sometimes.

  11. Have fun with it.

  13. This version is unlikely to make on any system except a UNIX PC, but the
  14. file PORTING gives some information about adapting it to other systems.

  16. The files whose names are in the file Files are things which would be used
  17. to make an installable floppy on a UNIX PC (maybe a 3b2 also).  If you don't
  18. need them, you can delete them.
